Global education advice, grounded in honesty
SIAS, which stands for Strategic Inspiration for Achieving Success, is a global education consultancy with offices in Colombo, Iowa and London. We help students identify the right country, university and programme by weighing what actually matters: academic background, ambitions, budget and long-term career direction.
International education should be accessible, transparent and achievable. Every recommendation we make is built to simplify your decision rather than complicate it, and it arrives in writing so your family can read it too.

Advice shaped around your record
Your grades, your budget and where you want to be working in five years, weighed together. Never a generic checklist.
Twelve destinations, compared honestly
One comparison across all twelve on entry requirements, total cost, intake dates and post-study work rights, so the trade-off is visible.
Support from first question to first term
Counselling, applications, funding, visa and arrival. The same people stay with the case throughout rather than handing it on.
We say when the answer is no
If the funding does not add up or you should wait an intake, that is the advice you get. A deferred plan that succeeds beats a rushed one that fails abroad.
Written down, not promised
Shortlists, budgets, visa evidence requirements and work rules all arrive in writing, because a promise you cannot re-read is not much use at 2am.
Questions students ask first
Is the first consultation with SIAS really free?
Yes. The first counselling session carries no fee and no obligation to apply through SIAS. You leave with a written shortlist whether or not you proceed with us.
What does SIAS actually do for a student?
We advise on choosing a country and course, prepare and submit university applications, find scholarships and funding, guide the student visa application, and support you after you arrive. Those five things map to the four stages of the SIAS student journey.
How many study destinations does SIAS cover?
Twelve: the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Spain, Malta, Malaysia, Singapore and Dubai in the UAE.
How much does it cost to study abroad from Sri Lanka?
Tuition varies widely by university and programme, so the figure that matters is the total year: tuition plus accommodation and living costs in that specific city, health cover, flights, insurance and the first three months before any part-time income begins.
Can SIAS guarantee my student visa?
No, and no consultancy honestly can. The decision belongs to the immigration authority of the country you apply to. What we can do is make sure nothing in your application gives them a reason to refuse it.
When should I start planning to study abroad?
Twelve to eighteen months before your intended intake. Applications close months before a course starts, scholarship deadlines usually close before the application deadline, and visa financial evidence has to be held for a set period before you apply.
Your future starts with the right decision
Speak with a SIAS adviser about the study options that actually fit your record and your budget. The first consultation is free and carries no obligation.
